Microsoft Teams


Microsoft Teams is a collaboration tool that provides a dynamic and customizable workspace by integrating with other University approved Apps and Microsoft 365 services such as OneDrive.


Faculty, Staff, and Students

Request a Team

  1. Submit an email request to
  2. Provide the following information. All Team Names will end with -group.
      1. Team Name
        1. Faculty Team Naming Standard:
          1. College-Team Name-group
          2. Example: COEHD-Kinesiology-group
        2. Staff Team Naming Standard:
          1. Department-Team Name-group
          2. Example: IT-Systems Administration-group
      2. Two Owners for the Team
        1. Owner Names
        2. Owner IslandIDs
  3. Team Owners will receive an email confirmation from when the Team has been created.

Download and install Microsoft Teams

  1. Open Microsoft Teams Download.
  2. Select the corresponding Download Teams for your device.
  3. Complete Microsoft Teams Installation.

Using Microsoft Teams

to Microsoft Teams

  1. Open Microsoft Teams.
  2. If prompted, enter your TAMU-CC credentials.
  3. Select Sign In.
  4. Complete the DUO Authentication.
