My IslandID Account FAQs

No, a New Account Request Form (NARF) for computer account creation is no longer needed.  Faculty and Staff accounts are generated automatically during the Workday onboarding process.  Student accounts are generated 24-48 hours after being accepted.  An email is sent to the person notifying them that their IslandID is ready to be claimed.

Email addresses follow this format depending on role.

Students: IslandID@islander.tamucc.edu

Faculty/Staff: firstname.lastname@tamucc.edu

Affiliate accounts are now requested through My IslandID Management Portal.  Use the quick step guide to walk through the process.  The department requesting an Affiliate account must first get a UIN assigned from Human Resources.
Affiliates of TAMU-CC, users that are not faculty, staff, or students, may receive access to various university resources for a time not to exceed a year. Access may be extended for up to one year at a time if the Affiliate still requires use of university resources. For steps on how to exten an affiliate account, visit https://it.tamucc.edu/tugs/is/affil-access-ext.html
